Uma Singh was a Nepali radio journalist who was killed during conflict. Singh was a young lady journalist focused on girl's right and education. Singh was working in the Terai region of the country as a radio journalist for Janakpur Today FM. On January 15, 2009, she was killed by 15 armed men who entered her rented apartment.
